Our masterplan for the waterfront builds upon its existing assets including the historic breakwater and extensive stretches of sandstone seawall and blends these extant elements with areas of new development including new office buildings for employment, residential apartments for urban living, entertainment places for tourists and recreational features such as new promenades, boardwalks and parks for the residents of Gosford and all others to enjoy. The waterfront is considered the “jewel” in Gosford’s “crown” of natural assets and its development needs to be sensitive and sustainable, yet bold and imaginative.
“All successful developments need a central core, so whilst we have a boardwalk that transcends the entire shoreline, together with retail and recreational outlets to ensure we reactivate the space, the Performing Arts Centre, Hotel and Conference Centre are at the heart of this development. This will be a true regional attraction that will allow events and shows previously restricted to the centre of Sydney, to take place in our region.”
