Subsequent to studies at the University of Technology Sydney, Paul left one of Sydney’s largest architectural practices to become an integral member of a small office where a string of successful competition submissions for aquatic and stadia venues (including the Sydney Olympic Softball Stadium) ensured a period of exceptional rapid growth for that company.

The desire to pursue large public infrastructure projects motivated Paul to pursue work on several large UK projects including the Emirates Stadium (home of Arsenal Football Club) adjacent key-worker ‘Northern Triangle’ housing, and the Ebbsfleet and Stratford Channel Tunnel stations.

Returning to Australia he progressed naturally from stadia to large-span industrial warehousing, completing projects in Sydney and Melbourne including the Vistaprint Asia Pacific Headquarters. Paul became a director of Crawford Architects in 2011 thus augmenting the firm with his extensive stadia, public infrastructure and aquatic centre knowledge.
